I grew up as the oldest of four siblings, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. As a kid, I enjoyed everything about the place I grew up -- Little League Baseball, sailing on Lake St. Clair... also, importantly, it was just a twelve-minute drive from my Yiayia and Papou's house. Yiayia and Papou have played an integral part of my life, and helped to motivate me in school as well as the other aspects of my life. After attending University Liggett School for high school, I moved on to the University of Michigan. Here I have striven to learn everything I can, because I realize that this is my chance to really expand my horizons. So while I've put my heart and soul into the pre-med journey, attempting to become a doctor, I've also learned about sustainability, business, history, and (most importantly), writing. I hope that the writing skills I've acquired as a journalist for the Michigan Daily and Sweetland Writing Minor will carry with me in my life as a future physician. In July, I'll be starting my first year of medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
